I am loving this series... Tammy Jo is just such a fun and unpredictable character... with the way her powers are growing and changing in ways that other witches don't expect makes it exciting... and I love how Merc has become such an essential character himself... it makes Tammy both eccentric and smart enough to listen to good advice no matter who it's coming from... plus finally getting to figure out more about the warning against the Lyons family... as well as finding out more about her own family has really helped make the plot thicken... it isn't just some strange new magical attack... it's dealing with their history and the importance of that town... plus I like the approach to magic in these books... it isn't just like memorizing some spell and waving a wand... it's almost like a science that's constantly being explored and perfected... altogether can't wait to get my hands on the next one...

Witches are finding new backdrops. Author creativity expanding. A new witch with no clue how to cast? Her powers strong and her experience erratic? It’s chick lit witch style.
Interesting storyline with witches, cross dressing vampires, warlocks, Fairies, Magical Associations, Murder, Mayhem, and humor all done Southern Style. Tammy Jo is a half witch/half fae Southern Girl Pastry Chef caught between two male love interests and the two supernatural halves of herself. She stumbles thru it all making a fun story with darker undertones. I enjoy this series very much. I recommend it to you too.
The big secret is out as to why Tamny is not to be involved with Bryan or at least sort of out. Also what happened to Bryan's mother is revealed. A bit of Bryan's past is revealed and an old friend returns. Bryan and Tammy Jo now have an established relationship. The book answered alot of unresolved questions I had been wondering about and like the books before it I found it a delightfull read. I enjoyed the characters, pacing and writing style. I also found it amusing when Tammy Jo finally bested her nemisis. I don't want to give too much away but if you enjoyed the prevous books this one should be equally enjoyable.
I've also read all three books and really enjoyed them, the third being the most engaging so far. That being said, Frost should ease up a little on how OFTEN Tamara gets pummeled or shot or injured in some way. It's slightly unbelievable that Bryn just lets her keep going off on bizarre errands that she keeps coming back mangled and/or dead after...
I also am a little unclear about the prophecy about them supposedly not being allowed to come together...
I think there just has to be another book because that explanation was odd and just not quite there for me. However I did LOVE the ending and hope it holds true. It would be really nice to see Tammy J actually stick to a decision and feel good and confident about her choice - as her developing nature reveals itself, being part Fae should include being definitive and strong about her growth and Bryn is naturally a better man for that than her ex-husband.
I love Tammy Jo and Bryn, what a couple of witches they are or aren't. LOL Trouble seems to follow them around, Tammy Jo just wants to avoid contact with him because of some ancient prophecy of doom involving the two of them. She just can't seem to stay away, everything leads her back to his side. A strange locket shows up with ties to her family. She is hunted by some nasty Southern Church women trying to expel the evil witch, chased and shot at by a scar faced man, and has to face the magical conclave's justice. Bryn and her are still recovering from her near death and serous spell casting and not up to full strength. They must work together, the town and their lives may depend on it when the conclave comes to town.
Action, action, action, poor Tammy Jo and Bryn. I was cheering for them. Boy do they take a beating in this book. The church ladies, ROFLMAO they get it, just perfectly ! The mystery of the locket leads to an unexpected place and is a wonderful story itself. I loved this book, It is not to be missed. I have loved all three of them. Ms.Frost writes a story that leaves me smiling before I go to sleep at night. She is one of my favorite author
